We are pleased to announce the opening of AmSpec Darwin, our newest laboratory in the Northern Territory, Australia, further strengthening our testing capabilities across the APAC region.
Strategically located to support operations at Vopak Darwin, the new 1,120 sq. ft. facility delivers comprehensive testing services for petrol, diesel, and jet fuel, including visual appearance, Saybolt and ASTM colour, density, electrical conductivity, flash point (PMCC & Abel), FBT, and distillation.
The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation, including the PAC OptiDist 2—the first installed in Australia—alongside Anton Paar ABA500 and PMA500 flash testers. Designed for future growth, the facility is also planned to support jet fuel re-certification expansion.
As part of AmSpec’s global quality framework, the Darwin laboratory is working toward NATA accreditation under ISO/IEC 17025, reinforcing our commitment to technical competence, reliability, and continuous improvement.
